Someone once asked me why do I dislike my birthday so much. To clarify, I don't dislike it. I just don't like all the attention. I feel so exposed. It is, afterall, not a very good feeling when all the attention is on you and you are placed in a rather awkward position. Seriously, I have yet to learn what to do in a politically correct manner when people pays me such attention. Not sure if I should stand there with an awkward grin plastered on my face, or to blush and not make any eye contact, or to shy away? No, I am not trying to make it seem like it is a bad thing. It is just that what I'm trying to get through is that I am Highly Uncomfortable. Especially when a chorus of "Happy Birthday" breaks out. I will literally die.
But having said that, I may not handle myself well in such situations, to those people who put all the thoughts to put together a present for me, I am sincerely grateful. Although I have a strong dislike on celebrating my birthday in school, I am pretty glad to say that today turned out alright. First off, I received a really nice surprise from S06, plus they sang really loudly. Then, Tim Dore decides that I am useless in his class as I did not do the Poem he was about to go through. Next, the dreaded Chemistry was alright with the relieve teacher. The school day ended with S07 bursting into a chorus. Haha! How funny that my day started and ended with my gorgeous classmates' voices! The Past and the Present. Received the most Epic present: Koala Pan (bread)! Just too awesome.
Also, a few of the people I've met wished me "Happy Birthday" when they saw me or text, and not through a post on fb wall. I really prefer that :)
Simply cannot wait for the next game of RunningMan.
